We Are All Joe The Plumber

Questioning Obama?  This man must be destroyed!

Poor Joe the plumber.

Here he is, in his own community in Holland, OH, and Sen. Obama drops by.  He wants to talk to Joe and his neighbors.  "OK," Joe thinks, "I've got a question I want answered."  So he asked Sen. Obama why he wants to confiscate money from people who work harder to earn more, and give it to other people.  Reasonable question, right?

And, through no fault of Joe's, Sen. Obama gives a politically disastrous answer about his desire to "spread the wealth around."  Sounds kooky. Sounds far to the Left.  In other words, it sounds like Sen. Obama.

But because Joe the plumber asked an obvious question that Sen. Obama used to embarrass himself, Joe the Plumber must be destroyed.

First, Politico.com wrongly reported (and the lefty blogosphere immediately jumped on it) that Joe isn't a registered voter.  WRONG. He is.

Then the AP reported that Joe owes about a thousand bucks in back taxes and has had a lein filed against him by the state of Ohio.  It's possible, according to the reports, that Joe didn't even KNOW about the lein, but whatever. He owes back taxes.

And now the mainstream media is reveling in the news that Joe is not a licensed plumber.  Joe works for a two-man company (a classic small business, Sen. Obama) that has a licence and, because he does residential work only, he believes he doesn't need one of his own. Local officials are now saying he does.  Also, the unions are mad because they're not getting a cut of Joe's paycheck.  Oh, and it turns out that local authorities knew about the company and its work, but never notified Joe that he needed more than the company's license.

Once again, Barack Obama came to see him.  Joe the plumber doesn't work for a campaign, he didn't show up at an Obama rally shouting questions. He's just a typical American who was living his life when Sen. Obama came to call.  Joe's not perfect. He's got problems.  Who knows--he may have a subprime loan that Sen. Obama is making the rest of us pay for.  Then the media would love him.  If he were an illegal immigrant working without a license or a green card, Joe would be a front-page hero!

Instead, Joe the Plumber is being Palin-ed. Trashed.  The victim of erroneous reporting by media members on the attack.  All because Joe the Plumber dared to ask the Chosen One a relevant question.

Joe, like that girl Sarah, should know his place. How DARE he think he can criticize Sen. Obama?  How DARE he presume to question Barack's tax policies?  He should be ON HIS KNEES before the Great and Powerful Obama, and consider himself lucky to be in the presence of the Holy One.

This is what's happened to typical voter guy Joe the Plumber before Sen. Obama becomes elected.  What are our lives going to be like once Sen. Obama and his cronies control the entire federal government?

For those of us who refuse to drink the Kool-Aid, an Obama presidency would be a long four years.

UPDATE: Michelle Malkin has a great column about JTPDS today.

UPDATE/UPDATE! From listener Joe:

Joe the Plummer is a fraud. He is a right wing nut. He is not a plumber and he is in noposition to buy the business where he works at. This moron only made $43,000 last year, not enough to buy a $250,000 business. To add insult to injury, this fool did not pay his property tax last year, and this is your poster boy for what is right about America ?

Natural Truth of the Day

“We haven't finished that work yet.  And whether that's the gas tax or something else, we're going to have to face those issues.”

--Gov. Deval Patrick, raising the possibility of a gas tax hike, the same day he signed a $1 billion/year tax increase into law.
