Another great column by Barbara, the woman is a genius. (Whoever handles her website leaves something to be desired, however. It took me 5 minutes to find her column, shouldn't be that hard.)

I voted for the Tax elimination, even though I'm one of the fortunate ones who dosn't pay it (I will not go into the reason). I saw the "Tax increase" (doubling of the Tolls) coming. There will be others. "We" (not me, you, Barbara
and others) told the 'spenders' it's O.K. Tax us. As for Mr. Patrick and his promise to lower the Real Estate Tax, that was a liberal's promise with a wink of the eye. Until this Commonwealth has a two party system, we can expect more and 'better' taxes (for the children).

Actually, we, the tax payer, by not passing prop#1 has said to Beacon Hill, "tax my pants off, it's okay". There will be no recrimination.

Yeah and the revolution will not be televised. I am a public employee and can tell you that if they repealed the income tax it would be the apocolypse for poor communities. Yes, I hate paying for schlubs to sit around doing nothing on an East Lynn corner but if they repealed the income tax they would shut down the libraries and keep open the methadone clinics. I have to live in Lynn and can't imagine what depths it would fall to.

I sure am glad i had the good sense to get out of Ma. and R.I. ten years ago and move back to Tennessee. It was hard enough to put up with the banana republic political crap that went on then. How you are able to cope with it now is truly a miracle. At least it appears that there are some modern day Sam Adams and Paul Reveres who will fight tyrany and for the rights of THE PEOPLE.

In New York, especially Manhattan, there is no longer a middle class.
More everyday, it looks the same way in Massachusetts.

I am 53 years old and started listening to talk radio when I was 20. Barbara Anderson was one of the three Governors on Tuesday afternoon with Jerry Williams, the dean of talk radio, and Howie Carr. Those three and Jerry Williams in particular where warning of big government back then and since on two occasions that fact has reared it's ugly head. There have been two issues that came before the voters and both threatened the states coffers and both times were crushed by the shear size of government and the number of people that depend on it's coffers. The latest being the repeal of the income tax.

I am afraid that the size of government has reached a point where it is truly out of control and Barbara Anderson is quit right, we can not be saved. I have moved to NH just this past July, last one out shut off the lights...
