Michael,I will be the first to agree with you that all women are insane. This insanity is caused by our mothers, who inherited it from THEIR mothers, and so on. The first symptom of this insanity is when your girl child starts to make that chirping sound and rolling her eyes every time a parent or other authority figure speaks. If you are the male parent or sibling, your only hope for survival is to run for cover during mother-daughter, sister-sister battles. Do not choose sides! REPEAT: DO NOT CHOOSE SIDES! You will be wrong no matter what you do.

I have been telling my single friends for years that all women have some kind of neuroses so don't even try to find one that is completely sane. The best you can do is find a woman that has neurotic disorders that you can live with.

For example my wife will scream a scream that I would expect to hear from her if an escaped convict with a bloody ax in his hands had her corner in the bathroom, when the real reason is that she has spotted a tiny spider on the bathroom wall. This is clearly behavior which is completely irrational yet I am able to pretend in my mind that she believes that she is extremely allergic to spider bites and will die if she even touches a spider. This way her behavior makes sense to me and we never get into some big fight about how I am insensitive or laugh at her or call her silly, etc. She screams, I run to her and remove the danger, oh my god are you ok honey, yes I love you, and I am the man.

She is crazy but I can live with it as long as I get sex.

I live in a house with THREE generations of women and help with the care of my mom (make that four generations of women that I have to interface with)

I am also smart enough to stop typing ,,, well almost.. if I was really smart I'd have let this one go by,,,

Sorry I missed speaking w/you today. Each time I was put on hold, was disconnected to dial tone.
In my previous contribution to your blog, I forget to mention that my mother criticized how I held my toothbrush. How much more mother/child could it get?

Had a lot of retired, 65 y/o comments to add to today's discussion..from crooked politicians to your idea of establishing a "Reform Party" to my Email to print media re my NO vote on question #1 repealing the state income tax to Private v/s public sector employment & of course the infamous Bailout idea.
Incidentally, during one of the times I was on hold I heard a commercial from Mitsubishi. It happened during the discussion of the BIG THREE bailout. I know that you need to pay for airtime...can you say irony?
My first call was about the Reform Party, but was told this was subject of next hour. Unfortunately the topic never came up. Was disappointed that it was not discussed. If you need volunteers, sign me up. Well, there is alway tomorrow.
